KINGSTOWN, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES – The NTRC’s 2026 MyApp Summer Program has once again turned the summer break into an exciting opportunity for young people to learn, create and explore the world of technology. Now in its 11th year, the MyApp Summer Program continues to introduce students to the fundamentals of coding and mobile app development while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and innovation. This year, the program extended to three sessions, giving more students across St. Vincent and the Grenadines the opportunity to discover what they can accomplish with technology.

The 2026 program journey began in Union Island from July 13–24, 2026, followed by a session at Mountain View Adventist Academy from July 27–August 7, 2026, and concluded today with students at the St. Vincent Grammar School from August 3–14, 2026.

Across the three sessions, 67 students took part in an immersive learning experience designed to take them beyond simply using technology and into the exciting world of creating with it. From learning how applications are designed and developed to working through coding challenges, students were encouraged to think creatively, work collaboratively and turn their ideas into digital solutions. The students also took part in an educational field trip to various organizations where they were able to gain a greater appreciation of the role technology plays across different industries.

The Valedictorians of all 3 sessions were gifted a laptop compliments FLOW and will be given the opportunity to participate in the NTRC’s icode784 Competition Robotics Category later in 2026.

Each session concluded with a special closing ceremony, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their accomplishments and celebrate their successful completion of the program alongside their families, instructors, partners and NTRC staff.

The NTRC extends its gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Innovation & Digital Transformation and Information, the Principals of the Union Island Secondary School, Mountain View Adventist Academy and the St. Vincent Grammar School, and our sponsors: St. Vincent Port Authority, Flow, Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Vinlec, General Maritime Agencies, the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Massy Stores Ltd, and Bonadies Supermarket #2 for making this program possible. We also thank the parents of all participants for their support.
