NTRC Wraps Up MyApp 2025 Summer Programs with Closing Ceremony Honoring Student Coders at Barrouallie Secondary School

On August 15, 2025, the NTRC hosted the final closing ceremony of its 11th Annual MyApp Summer Program at the Barrouallie Secondary School

This program welcomed 18 enthusiastic students who engaged in hands-on training to learn the fundamentals of coding and robotics using the Micro:bit and robotics kits. The initiative is designed to enhance digital literacy and inspire a passion for technology among secondary school students across the SVG.

In addition to classroom-based learning, students embarked on an exciting & educational field trip where they visited the AIA and ECGC, where they explored the real-world application of technology in the aviation and manufacturing industry.

During the closing ceremony, students proudly showcased their projects and reflected on the skills and experiences gained throughout the program. One of the event’s highlights was the announcement of Valedictorian, Simlet Pierre, who was awarded a laptop, courtesy of FLOW, in recognition of outstanding performance and commitment to learning. The Valedictorian will also be given the opportunity to participate as a finalist in the NTRC’s icode784 Competition Robotics Category which will be held on October 22, 2025.
