The NTRC recognizes that there is a need for increased capacity building, relevant legislation, and formal structures to be established where cyber security is concerned. This is particularly important as we continue to increase our broadband penetration levels and speeds nationwide and across our CARICOM region. Additionally, we must consider the growing complexity of AI impact on cyber security challenges.
The NTRC is pleased with the progress being made to date on these issues under the CARDTP and looks forward to the creation of a national-level CSIRT(NatCSIRT) and relevant legislative framework. The role of a NatCSIRT is critical in building trust and confidence in a digital economy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
