Extension of Initial Period for Comments on Recommendation of the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (“ECTEL”) To the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission to Consult on – Recommendation for Market Competition Assessment Methodology

1. The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has received a notice from ECTEL granting an extension of the period for initial comments. This extension relates to ECTEL’s submission to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commissions on the Recommendation for Market Competition Assessment Methodology.

2. This consultation document has been designed to gather perspectives and insights from regulatory and other stakeholders on the establishment of a proposed Market Competition Assessment Methodology for the electronic communications sector in the ECTEL Contracting States. ECTEL strongly encourages all stakeholders to provide comments on the consultation document.

3. Noting the interest expressed, and considering requests received thus far during this consultation, ECTEL has decided that the deadline for submission of initial comments be extended to Monday 20th April 2026 to allow interested parties more time to submit comments.

4. The period for reply comments will now run from Wednesday 22nd April 2026 – Friday 8th May 2026.

5. All responses to the Consultation Documents or correspondence in relation to this consultation should be written and sent via e-mail no later than 4:30 pm on the due date to: –
