78 Apps registered to enter the Preliminary Round Judging for the NTRC’s 2025 iCode784 Competition

KINGSTOWN, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES – The NTRC is pleased to announce that a total of 78 apps have been registered for this year’s highly anticipated iCode784 Competition marking another exciting year of innovation and creativity. Registration officially closed on September 15, 2025, marking the start of the countdown to the preliminary round.

In the Secondary Mobile Application category, 38 teams have registered from schools across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Participating schools include:

Barrouallie Secondary School

Bishop’s College Kingstown

Buccament Bay Secondary School

Canouan Secondary School

Mountain View Adventist Academy

St. Joseph’s Convent Kingstown

St. Vincent Girls’ High School

St. Vincent Grammar School

Meanwhile, the Open category has attracted 40 teams, each competing for the coveted first-place prize of EC$15,000 along with a EC$30,000 grant to support the further development of their app.

Preliminary judging for both categories will take place online on October 3, 2025. The top 10 teams for the Secondary Mobile Application Category and the top 10 teams for the Open Category will then advance to the grand finale, joining the 10 advancing teams from the Robotics Category to compete in person on October 22, 2025 at the Kingstown Baptist Church.

The NTRC extends its best wishes to all participants as they showcase their creativity, innovation, and technological skills in this year’s competition. The 12th annual iCode784 Competition continues to foster innovation and digital literacy among the nation’s youth. It remains a key initiative in promoting STEM education and practical ICT skills across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
